I recently had a fellow acupuncturist ask me what kind of stories she should post to get her followers to engage and take action.

When I’m thinking about creating stories for my clinic Instagram account, I like to focus on the end goal. My end goal is to get more patients from my Instagram marketing, which means I need people to click through to my profile and/or click the link in my bio.

So I went into the Insights section of my clinic Instagram account and took a look at the stories I’ve posted in the past two weeks.

(“Insights” is the analytics section of your Instagram business account, if you’re not familiar with it. You can see how to access your Instagram Insights here.)

After taking a deep dive into my clinic Instagram account’s Insights, I found there are three types of stories that get the most engagement.

These stories get people to click through to my profile, decide to follow me, and click the link in my bio. Huge wins!
